be quiet! Light Base 500 LX
3. Conclusion
be quiet! has been rocking 2025 with the introduction of many new PC cases, and now enters the small PC case arena with the Light Base 500 series. We can call this product the small brother of the already tested Light Base 600 and 900 series, which were much bigger and offered a big space that some users may just not need. This time, we get three new models: the Light Base 500 (no ARGB), the Light Base 500LX Black, and the Light Base 500 LX White. All three variations have a similar design and have the same dimensions. We tested the Light Base 500 LX Black model, which includes four (4) ARGB 120mm fans and can support up to 360mm AIO coolers. In addition, the side panel fan design includes an angle to better cool those big GPUs. All three models have side and front glass windows, for that WOW effect, so we feel that the ARGB models (black/white) are preferred.

Working with the be quiet! Light Base 500 LX series is a real joy, all panels can be removed easily, and the printed manual includes all the needed information, even for amateur users. The new Light Base 500 series also includes a newly designed backside connector design (Asus BTF (Back to Future), MSI Project Zero, and Gigabyte Project Stealth) that some users may find useful, and hopefully will get adopted even from other vendors as well. There is support to add many more 120/140mm fans in case you feel you need them, either on the bottom or top. A lot of space to carefully cover cables, and the case also includes a 6-way ARGB/FAN controller with four (4) empty slots.

Quality usually costs, and you are not thinking wrong, be quiet! Light Base 500 series starts from $/€119.90 (no ARGB) and moves up to $/€144.90 (Light Base 500 LX Black) and finally to $/€154.90 (Light Base 500 LX White). We do recommend the new Light Base series for all users who wish to have great cooling performance, great aesthetics, and the quality that be quiet! offers for their products, good job, be quiet!
