We decided it would be logical to merge reviews of XFX nForce 790i Ultra 3-Way SLI and Zotac nForce 790i-Supreme into one article, because both products are, in fact, reference boards that were ordered by NVIDIA from its manufacturer. Thus, if you are going to buy something similar from another company (e.g. EVGA), this article will also be useful.

The Zeus line is the very pinnacle of the power supply offerings from SilverStone, and at long last the platform has made it to the 1200W level. Was it worth the wait? Well... uh... sort of. Come inside and I'll spill the beans.

PNY's XLR8 9800GTX OC is an overclocked version of nVidia's 9800GTX, a solid card but not a huge improvement on the 8800GTX. Pitched at enthusiast games without the cash to splash on a spunky new GTX 200 Series, the XLR8 9800GTX OC is an attempt to inject a little more life into a once-flagship graphics card for just £30 premium (around £220). But with jaw-dropping GeForce 9800GX2 cards in the wild (two GeForce 9800 graphics processors on a single card), is simply overclocking a 9800GTX enough? The answer is yes - if value is considered.

We are writing to let you all know that we have just posted a new article at HotHardware in which we evaluate the features and performance of the Thecus N5200BR NAS Server. The Thecus N5200BR NAS Server is targeted at end-users with demanding network storage needs. It offers five SATA II drive bays supporting numerous RAID options, an LED status read-out, router capabilities and a host of other features to make it a serious contender for home users and in the commercial environment where a highly configurable NAS unit is a must. On the surface, the Thecus N5200BR looks to have what it takes to fit a wide variety of NAS needs, but we'll look below the surface to ascertain the strengths and weaknesses of the unit. Head on over to the site and check it out...

Tuniq is a part of the Sunbeam Company, a company with the better part of a decade in the computing market. Tuniq makes a number of modder and enthusiast focused computer components. Their line includes cases, coolers, thermal compounds, and, of course, power supplies. Today we have one of those Tuniq PSUs; the 950 watt Miniplant. Is it a small powerhouse as the name suggests? Can it really dish out 950 watts from a PSU enclosure the size of a typical 500 watt unit? We're gonna find out.

Back in April we had looked at the ECS A780GM-A, which was a nice low-cost motherboard and had worked well under Linux with the newer desktop distributions. This motherboard had integrated Radeon HD 3200 graphics, which we had found to perform well and equivalent to a Radeon HD 2400PRO discrete graphics card. However, for those interested in NVIDIA graphics, there is the GeForce 8200 IGP that also performs well on Linux. If you are interested in the GeForce 8200 chipset, today we are looking at two of the cost-effective motherboards deploying this chipset: the ECS GF8200A Black and ASRock K10N78FullHD-hSLI.

XTune is Aeneon's brand of enthusiast level memory modules. While our first encounter with the XTune was less than fantastic, we don't reject companies from coming back with new products to try out. Today we have the newest addition, being a DDR2 package. That's right; DDR2 still lives and it's definitely not going anywhere soon. The kit sent to us is the DDR2-1142MHz overclocked pack with 2x1GB modules for a total of 2GB in Dual Channel; ideal for both Intel and AMD. These modules aren't rated for Phenom's 1066MHz memory controller, but that shouldn't stop it from working with a bit of a boost in memory voltage.

Sony's VPL-EX50 delivers consistently bright images of up to 2500 ANSI lumens. Colours aren't as rich as a good home theatre projector, but the VPL-EX50 isn't designed for DVD and Blu-Ray playback (4:3 native aspect ratio and 900:1 contrast ratio aren't great assets). Sharpness is fantastic, and its features are well conceived, making the VPL-EX50 an excellent projector for use in small to medium-sized venues. The front-inclined design helps achieves optimal image placement, and a short throw distance is perfect if space is limited. As a bonus, the new E-series projector is also easy to maintain, with a long-life filter that is timed to coincide with when the lamp needs to be replaced (around 3000 hours), reducing the number of maintenance sessions required.

The GeForce GTX 280, and it's little brother the GeForce GTX 260, were released in June of this year. This is just three months after the release of the GeForce 9 series. Now it may be based off the same unified architecture, but on paper, the new GTX 200 series of chips have a definite performance boost over the previously released chips. For starters this new GPU contains 1.4 billion transistors and is made on a 65nm fabrication process. According to some sources this makes the GTX 2xx series a chip with the largest die area ever fabricated for a GPU. The GTX 280 has 240 shaders (stream processors), and comes with 1GB of GDDR3 VRAM on a 512 bit bus. The chip is said to put out approximately 933 GFLOPS of floating point power.

With so much X48 selection on the market, choosing the right board can be tough. To help make the choice easier, we are taking a look at three such boards all at once, ASUS' DDR2 Rampage Formula and also the DDR3 ECS X48T-A and Intel's DX48BT2.

Today we got a chance to look at the Thermaltake Armor+ MX VH8000BWS Mid Tower Case. The VH8000 series cases, eight total, come in both silver and black and some also include power supplies and pre-installed water cooling systems. Some handy features of this case include a compact design with an optimal cooling system for both liquid and air systems. The included 23cm fan keeps parts cool while being extremely quiet, despite its huge size. Read on further to learn more about this case.

Movie rentals, movie rentals, movie rentals, did I mention movie rentals? We either drop by a brick and mortar store like Blockbuster or rent our movies by mail through Netflix. Driving out to a store or waiting for your movie in the mail isn't so bad when you have no other alternatives, but what if I told you there was a better way? What if I said you could choose a movie and start watching it in under 30 seconds? If living in America for 25 years has taught me anything, it's that we love instant gratification and convenience, which nicely sums up Apple TV movie rentals.

Nowadays, while they have started to make some higher-end graphics cards as well (for example, a 9600GT 1GB), Diablotek still has some good mid-range offerings, like their 8600GT 1GB that we have for review today. The new trend these days seems to be to go overboard with our PC components and buy high-end everything, when all you are going to do is chat and check your email. The 8600GT is for those among us who realize that onboard video just isn?t enough, but anything else wouldn?t be necessary as often is the case in a HTPC. The extra 512MB of RAM over reference should give a cheap performance boost to iron out kinks, but again, nothing more than you need.
