Webcams are rapidly becoming a very popular item. In fact, webcams were one of the most popular electronic items purchased for the 2009 holiday season. Microsoft has long been a competitor when it comes to webcams and with the release of the Microsoft LifeCam Cinema 720p HD Webcam H5D-00001 they may have placed themselves on top of the market. With Skype, Windows Live Messenger, and even Google Video Chat becoming communications tools that are an easy and fun way to stay in contact with our friends and families, people are beginning to expect more from their webcams. The blurry, choppy video that doesn't match up with the audio is a thing of the past. Now Microsoft is introducing HD Video to the mix, offering high definition resolutions up to 720p with their new LifeCam Cinema. In this article Benchmark Reviews takes a detailed look at the Microsoft LifeCam Cinema in order to bring you the latest information on the newest webcam technologies.

"For many, the term "lifestyle" is as synonymous with "pricey," just as with similar phrases "cool" or "designer." Anyone who's ever wandered into a Brookstone store, browsed Sharper Image or dug into their SkyMall catalogue while flying can tell you that, while this lifestyle stuff is cool, it's also pretty expensive and, for many, out of reach. Thankfully Edifier, a Canada-based lifestyle audio company, is trying to change that."

Cooler Master has taken an already excellent case in the form of the HAF 932 and done some modifications to it to provide an AMD Edition of the case. The red color and the Dragon in the window make the case fit the theme really well. This case has plenty of room for HDDs and ODDs with up to 12 drives installed in the case. The Cooler Master HAF 932 has plenty of fans with two 230mm fans and a 140mm fan installed out of the box but plenty of room for more fans if needed. One concern with the AMD Edition HAF 932 Limited Edition is the actual uniqueness of the case as it seems to be available on Newegg for $160. Nevertheless the case is an excellent fusion of design and function and doesn?t cost a pretty penny to purchase for a full-tower case. This is Solid Hot Product for those looking for a modded system in the AMD color and flavor.

"Dropping to 32nm means a smaller overall die, allowing Intel to fit more transistors onto the chip, ultimately making it run faster, cooler and with more features while requiring less power to operate. For desktop users / overclockers, this means lower chips and hopefully higher clock speeds when pushed to the limit. In mobile applications, we can expect better battery life without sacrificing performance."

"The Thermaltake ISGC-400 heatsink comes with fan that has beautiful glossy white fan blades shaped like the fins of a whale. The fan motor used Hydro Dynamic Bearings to decrease noise and improve lifespan (MTBF 50,000 hours), always a nice touch. "

"Akasa is a company most famous for their cooling products, even though they have diversified into other market areas over the years. We have reviewed many of their products over the past few years, including PSUs, computer cases and notebook accessories. Today we are going to have a look at their latest mainstream CPU cooler, the X4."

?A few months ago, ATI released their new 5000 series of gaming cards. On January 14, 2010, they released the first of the mainstream cards of that series, the Radeon HD 5670, sporting the 40nm process, with 400 streaming processors and a 775mHz clock. Sapphire has built three versions of the HD 5670, a 1GB model and two 512MB models. Today I will be looking at the top of the line HD 5670, which has a full gig of GDDR5 memory clocked at 1000mHz. Read on to check out the Sapphire Radeon HD 5670!"

"The new chipsets are similar to Intel P55, but they let you use the integrated graphics core of the new Core i5, Core i3 and Pentium processors. On the other hand, they lack decent support for dual discrete graphics cards. Which of these solutions you need is up to you to decide."

"For this review I am going to be looking at a brand new product from a company that, in the bigger scheme of things, is a relative newcomer to the PC hardware scene. Nonetheless they have made a name for themselves in a relative short space of time. The company is Zotac and the product I will be looking at is one of their mini itx Ion motherboards, the IONITX-F-E. Never having used an Atom / Ion motherboard before I am eager to see how it performs."

"Seagate and LSI Logic teamed up to bring SAS 2.0, 6Gb/s technology to enterprise and prosumer users in late 2009. The Seagate 15K.7 3.5 inch form factor and 15K.2 2.5? drives both showed performance improvements with the new 6G interface. We have already tested both drives on the internal version of the card we are reviewing today, the LSI 9260-8i, and saw large single drive performance increases just by moving to SAS 2.0.
External SAS enclosures are categorized as Direct Access Storage (DAS) and the technology has now trickled down from enterprise and is a popular way of adding very large disk arrays to professional Audio / Video users. Small companies with a small number of users have found that DAS offers the same disk redundancy features of NAS servers, but offers higher data transfer speeds and in many cases lower costs."

"With so many portable hard drives currently on the market, competition is fierce and consumers are always on the lookout for the best bang for the buck. The Xigmatek Lighter is a stylish, low cost option that easily stands out. Not only does it look like an actual lighter, it's not much larger than one and provides an impressive 60GB of storage that fits in your pocket."

After months-long DirectX 11 extravaganza by AMD, it seems to be time when NVIDIA declares itself to have a competing GPU, based on its spanking-new Fermi GPU architecture. The GeForce Fermi 100 (GF100) is promising to take over the legacy built by its ancestors, the G80 and GT200, to become yet another monster high-performance silicon which will reignite competition in the upper-quadrant of the market. We look at what NVIDIA is putting on offer, before we get to test NVIDIA's assertions.
