The Optio W30 is very similar to its predecessor the W20 in many ways, not least in its price. The W30 is currently available for around £164, which is only about £10 than the current list price for the W20. It has the same 7.1-megapixel resolution, the same 115k-pixel 2.5-in LCD monitor (although now with an anti-glare coating), and the same internal 3x zoom lens. It even bears a strong physical resemblance to the W20 although it is actually a couple of millimetres bigger and about five grams heavier.

Flash drives designed/marketed with Windows Vista's new ReadyBoost feature in mind are flooding the market. In this review I'm taking a look at a new ReadyBoost ready flash drive from Super Talent. Super Talent is a Californian company that makes memory modules, flash drives, SSD flash drives and a couple of other products like MP3 players and SD memory cards. They have been in the memory industry for over 20 years and hold over 100 patents in memory technology. The DH series 200x flash drives from Super Talent are available in capacities from 512MB to 8GB.

From a design point of view it's effortlessly stylish while remaining perfectly functional in the same breath. The jet black fascia coupled with a pure white back is a classic combination, while a simple sloped design creates a stand enabling the photo frame to sit comfortably in landscape or portrait positions. The final touch is a set of backlit touch sensitive controls on the front on the frame, which are both attractive and very easy to use.

As you may have guessed, the 8600 GTS in the Solar's name refers to the graphics card which it uses and also gives you a clue as to its projected market - gamers on a budget. This assertion is backed up by the inclusion of an Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (2.13GHz, 2MB cache, 1,066MHz FSB) CPU coupled with 2GB DDR2 RAM running at 667MHz - both midrange components. Altogether these components should be capable of playing any current games at 1,680 x 1,050 (the native resolution of the included monitor) and will be able to keep up with any games that come out within the next couple of years.

When I first began repairing computers, power supply units caused me the most problems. When a PSU begins to fail, or is faulty out of the box, it is sometimes difficult to determine because the symptoms are similar to other faulty hardware components. One of the best investments I ever made was the PSU tester; until now. CaseBuy now offers a digital LCD display on the EZ Power Supply Tester III. Benchmark Reviews shows you just how important this tool is, and why every technician, overclocker, enthusiast, and even gamers could benefit.

Kingwin is a Taiwanese manufacturer of computer components that recently launched a new line of heatpipe CPU coolers. They have provided two of their newest CPU coolers for review, models KA-9225 and KA-9227, and they just might fit the bill for inexpensive, reliable cooling with a bit of style!

The long awaited challenger to NVIDIA's hegemony of DirectX 10 graphics has appeared. ATI's R600 makes its debut in the form of the Radeon HD 2900 XT 512MB and to our surprise, goes for the jugular of the GeForce 8800 GTS, and not the GeForce 8800 GTX - though it comes close.

Things to say could be a lot, we can't only make a brief valuation of the product because there are a lot of aspects to consider. Let's start with the price: the Jetway Radeon HD 2900 XT will be commercialized in Italy with a price around 400?, in line with others producers. For that price the direct concurrent is the Nvidia 8800GTS 640MB. Both are DirectX10-compatible, changes the quantity of ram (superior on Nvidia), but the bandwidth is superior on the 2900. The AMD proposal is more oriented to new multimedia platforms, like the HD format with the hardware compatibility to Blue Ray and HD DVD Readers. There's only one problem: when will really be available HD DVD and Blue Ray contents and readers?

USRobotics' MAXg Wireless ADSL2+ Networking Kit (£43.49 ex. VAT) includes everything you need to connect to and share your ADSL Internet service in your small office. It also brings the benefits of high-performance wireless networking to your business. The Wireless MAXg ADSL2+ Gateway integrates the company's latest ADSL and MAXg wireless technologies for a 'complete' small-business broadband network. MAXg technology delivers a claimed 50% range improvement over standard 802.11g and provides wireless speeds of up to 125Mbps, although actual performance will vary depending on operating environment and distance between networked devices. In reality, you should expect little more than a 15% increase, which is still good.

We see it all the time; a company puts out a product on the verge of greatness, but ultimately hampered by a few deal-breaking flaws. Such was the case (giggle) with Antec's P180, a quiet enclosure that suffered from a poor blueprint for cable management. They've heard your complaints, and the redesigned P182 attempts to be what the P180 should have all along. Can they pull it off, or should Antec have stuck to the drawing board just a bit longer?

Contrary to what you may believe, the HD 2900XT that we are looking at here today is not meant to compete against NVIDIA's 8800 Ultra or even the GTX. Instead AMD aimed at a lower price target, the 8800 GTS. With a launch price of $399 AMD intends to take the mid/high end market segment instead of going after the faster 8800 GTX and Ultra. As much as they want to sugar coat it, the R600 in its current iteration is just not capable of getting the clock speed up to the level needed to go toe to toe with the GTX/Ultra in every situation...

Today we'll see how the newest RADEON HD 2900 XT (R600) graphics cards perform in game benchmarks. We conducted two test sets: a complete one under Windows XP and a brief one under Windows Vista. Note that we have also obtained test results for the 2900 XT overclocked to 850/2000 MHz.

This is an in-line colour laser printer, so it's quite a bit deeper than it is wide. The control panel is a simple affair with a two line by 16 character backlit LCD and eight control buttons, six of which are used to work the menu system. At the back are sockets for USB 2.0 and Ethernet, the two interfaces provided as standard.
