Writing Quality Tests for LiteOn LTR-40125S

We used many media and burned them at various recording speeds with LiteOn LTR-40125S. We used Nero 5.5.7.8 as the CDR software. We burned CDs with "Smart-Burn" enabled/disabled to see the performance gap and the writing quality at both modes. The produced CDs, were measured from DigitalDrives and results are illustrated in the following tables:

The drive with Taiyo Yuden produces high quality CDs. The Smart-Burn function doesn't seem to affect the total recording time, but affects the burning quality.

The test results showed that at the 40x writing speed, the drive produced a high error rate with the rest media except from the Taiyo Yuden 32x certified. Especially with the Mitsui 74min 16x/24x the drive produces lot of error even with Smart-Burn enabled/disabled. With the Mitsui 24x media, we also saw C2 errors.
