DVI interface card supports UXGA
Molex has launched an interconnect card for the Digital Visual Interface (DVI) standard.
Design to be inserted into the graphics controller of any Intel 915G-equipped motherboard or PC with a vacant PCI Express (PCIe) 16X slot port, the MicroCross ADD2 card is configured from serial EEPROM.
The boards offer dual monitor capability and are available in versions that support two different Intel chassis architectures - the ADD2-N (non-lane reversed) for ATX systems and the ADD2-R (lane-reversed) for BTX systems.
Both card versions mate with MicroCross DVI-D receptacles and are available in standard or low-profile PCIe bracket to match accordingly the different chassis.
The cards will ensure hardware and software compatibility by supporting a range of digital display resolutions, including Video Graphics Array (VGA) and the Ultra Extended Graphics Array (UXGA), capable of displaying 1600-by-1200 pixel resolution.
The cards are also compatible with digital projectors, flat-panel displays and digital CRTs.
