Core 2 is a ninth-generation x86 architecture microprocessor produced by Intel and it was officially released on July 27, 2006. Processors are built on a 65 nm process and are intended for desktops, replacing the Pentium 4 and Pentium D. All Conroe processors are manufactured with 4 MB L2 cache
After having tested Intel's Core2Duo processors, the time has come to have a look at the soon to be released (officially on 14th of November), Intel Quad.
Foxconn recently shipped a new series of motherboards, supporting Core2Duo chipsets, with an integrated VGA chipset onboard. While this may not be the fastest motherboard around, we are eager to see how well it performs with the 945G/ICH7R chipset combination.
