AudioDev displays BD and HD DVD analyzers and a 4x solution for premastered DVD
AudioDev is seeing a large demand for high precision test equipment, and CATS BD and HD DVD analyzers are shipping now
CATS BD and HD DVD analyzers for the premastered formats are on display at the MediaTech Showcase & Conference, October 10-11. AudioDev hosts a seminar on Tools for production control of blue laser media on October 11, presented by Marianne Sernevi, VP International Sales and Marketing.
AudioDev has successfully released its CATS BD and HD DVD analyzers, designed both optically and mechanically for high precision measurement performance. CATS analyzers are available for all blue laser formats; BD-ROM, BD -R/RE, HD DVD-ROM and HD DVD-R/RW.
The CATS blue laser analyzers are built using new technology and design. The analyzers feature a reference drive designed for high precision measurements. The drives are manufactured by Toptica Photonics AG. An all new digital design allows for implementation of new parameters. The analyzers feature a navigation key and display for easy operation, and connect to a network or a computer through TCP/IP. Two analyzers next to each other will fit nicely in a standard 19 rack, and its also possible to stack multiple units on top of each other. Fans of the CATS DVD user interface will be happy to notice that very few changes have been made and operators will easily be able to operate the new analyzers.
DVD testing - Do more in less time
Fast, accurate test results that are easy to analyze increase your pro¬ductivity and help you optimize your manufacturing process. Manufacturing premastered media is all about speed. That is why AudioDev now offers the CATS D400 DVD 4x a CATS analyz¬er for premastered DVD. The new analyzer is based on a 4x test solution and fulfils the highest demands on measurement accuracy and stability.
The CATS D400 DVD 4x analyzer uses a similar system platform as AudioDevs blue laser analyzers, giving it the same benefits in terms of minimum footprint, network possibilities and much more. Although the system platform is new, the user interface and operating procedures remains familiar to all CATS users.
CATS D400 DVD 4x is based on a new test solution, originally designed for quality control of game discs for the Xbox 360 video game system from Microsoft. Very high demands were put on stability and measurement accuracy. A large number of these specially designed analyzers have been installed at Microsoft-approved facilities world-wide since summer of 2005, running 24-7. The new CATS D400 DVD 4x can thereby be said to be thoroughly proven in the field already upon its release.
