Boxwave's Crystal Clear Case left us with good impressions. The retail package was complete, the case fitted perfectly on our PDA device (Dell Axim x50V), all the needed buttons/functions/jacks were accessible, even with the case closed. All this from a crystal clear hard plastic case, which as you have seen, looks very nice and helps protect your device from bumps and scratches.

After having spent several days with the case, we didn't have any major complains. Users with extended batteries may have some problems, since the case has no spare room at the back. Another issue is that, in order to use the Dell cradle, you have to remove the PDA from the case, since it won't fit with the case. Lastly, we were tempted to test how good a protection the case would offer when falling from a height of 1m (3'3"), with our PDA inside, but at the last minute we changed our mind. The retail price is around US$25.95(+shipping) directly from Boxwave's online store.

The Positive

  • 100% Crystal Clear!
  • Fitted very well with our PDA
  • Every portable device has its own Crystal Clear version
  • Durable construction
  • Low priced

The Negative

  • PDA has to be removed from case in order to charge the PDA in its cradle
  • Extended battery users could have problems with fit, with the specific case...
