T-Mobile and Asus Agree on Strategic Cooperation at CeBIT 2008
T-Mobile International and Asus have agreed on a strategic partnership, the companies anounced at CeBIT.
Under the terms of the collaboration, the partners plan to bring to market attractive all-in-one packages comprising ASUS notebooks, high-speed mobile technology and attractively priced rate options.
T-Mobile and ASUS will offer the first package that marked rollout in the German market at the end of March 2008. With the EeePC 4G pioneering the first of a new generation of mobile Internet devices and 300 free WLAN hours at T-Mobile HotSpots included, users will enjoy mobile Internet at top speeds for EUR 299.
There are more than 8,000 HotSpot locations in Germany alone in hotels, restaurants, airports, stations and high-speed ICE trains.
In the course of the next few weeks, T-Mobile and ASUS will be offering further EeePC packages for mobile Internet. They will contain HSDPA/UMTS-enabled USB flash drives as well as options for pre- and postpaid customers. In Austria, the basic intuitive data device, which requires no PC skills, will also be available with HSDPA/UMTS from T Mobile in the near future.
