Apple In Talks With Yahoo On iPhone Partnership
Yahoo is reporedly in discussions with Apple to make some of its services available on the iPhone and iPad.
The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday reported that the wo companies are
talking about getting more sports and news content loaded onto Apple
devices and to expand a partnership with voice activated assistant Siri.
Yahoo has also looked into making Web search results available to Apple so that it could rely less heavily on Google, the report added. However, Yahoo has already partnered with Microsoft's Bing search engine, which provides Yahoo's search results.
Yahoo and Apple declined to comment.
Yahoo Chief Executive Marissa Mayer has said it's a top priority to expand Yahoo's footprint on mobile devices.
Striking a deal with Yahoo would help the company rely less heavily on Google in search.
