Intel's Raja Koduri Hints at Next-generation Xe GPU "Xe" Launch at Computex 2020
Raja Koduri, senior vice president of the Intel's Core and Visual Computing Group, teases fans by Tweeting about the company's first discrete GPU, set for launch in 2020.
His latest Tweet a photo of a Tesla Model X with a custom license plate attached. The license plate reads "ThinkXe 2020" JUN" and could be related to the launch of Intel's firts discrete GPU based on the Xe architecture in June 2020.
Xe is another name for the Gen 12 graphics architecture, which will come in two micro-architecture variants, one optimized for consumers and one optimized for the data center.
Intel will also introduce the Xe-powered "Tiger Lake" processor sat the same period. Tiger Lake is an Intel CPU microarchitecture based on the second-generation 10nm process node (named "10nm+"). It will replace Ice Lake.
