ASUS Announces Early-November Availability of ProArt Display 5K

Consumer Electronics Oct 28,2024 0

ASUS announced the early-November availability of ProArt Display 5K PA27JCV, a 5K (5120 x 2880) monitor with 218 pixels per inch (ppi) for stunning imagery. This Calman Verified monitor is factory-calibrated to Delta E<2 color accuracy, so it’s ready for precise, color-critical work. Additionally, PA27JCV covers 99% of the DCI-P3, 95% of the Adobe RGB, and 100% of the sRGB color gamuts1. The ASUS Light Sync solution takes advantage of the built-in ambient light and backlight sensors to ensure reliable color performance. The inclusion of LuxPixel technology gives the panel an anti-glare, low-reflection (AGLR) coating for a paper-like screen effect. Unlike traditional matte panel finishes that soften the image, LuxPixel technology minimizes distracting reflections to ensure pixel-perfect colors and sharp image detail. Built-in Auto KVM allows users to effortlessly switch between two connected laptops or PCs with a single keyboard and mouse. PA27JCV features extensive connection options including DisplayPort™ over USB-C® with 96-watt Power Delivery, DisplayPort, HDMI®, and a USB hub. PA27JCV retails at $799 MSRP.

The PA27JCV is designed to meet the needs of today’s creators, who craft content across a multitude of devices spanning from mobile phones, tablets to laptops and emerging tech like AR and VR. Any creator can benefit from a high-resolution, color-accurate monitor that’s ready for future devices and software, allowing them to seamlessly transition and adapt to whatever advancements come next.

The 5K (5120 x 2880) resolution HDR panel of PA27JCV boasts a pixel density of 218 ppi – more than 2.6X that of a 27-inch FHD display. The high pixel density means text is sharp and easy to read, while enhanced visual clarity offers significant advantages for creators working on complex, detailed projects. HDR10 and VESA DisplayHDR™ 500 compatibility ensure the brightest whites and darkest black hues for exception contrast, resulting in rich, lifelike imagery to help digital artists fully realize their creative visions. What’s more, PA27JCV offers 77% more onscreen workspace compared to a 4K monitor of the same size, allowing creators to effortlessly and efficiently work across multiple apps and windows.

Color professionals rely on color-accurate displays to ensure their creations look exactly as intended. PA27JCV boasts 99% DCI-P3, 95% Adobe RGB, and 100% sRGB color coverage, as well as 10-bit color depth to showcase more than 1.07 million onscreen colors to bring out the finest details in photos. Each ProArt display is factory-calibrated to meet the Calman Verified standard and achieve Delta E<2 color accuracy.

Built-in ASUS Light Sync technology features two sensors designed to ensure remarkably bright visuals and accurate color temperature. The backlight sensor automatically brightens the screen on startup to ensure vibrant imagery and reliable color performance. The ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the monitor’s color gamut based on environmental lighting, for realistic colors in any setting.

LuxPixel technology is an anti-glare, low-reflection (AGLR) coating that provides a paper-like screen effect. Unlike traditional matte-finish panels that show softer images, LuxPixel technology minimizes reflections to ensure the user only sees the most accurate colors and the sharpest details.

Built-in Auto KVM allows for effortless switching and control between two connected laptops and PCs with a single keyboard and mouse for easier multitasking.

PA27JCV is highly compatible with a wide range of devices and media sources, offering connectivity options such as DisplayPort, HDMI, USB hub, and a USB-C port that offers superfast data transfers, plus a DisplayPort with 96-watt Power Delivery. The USB-C connection enables users to connect to a laptop to access full USB-C functions via a single cable2, making it the ideal monitor for creative professionals who use MacBook and Windows laptops. Additionally, the USB 3.2 hub along the bottom bezel of PA27JCV includes one USB Type-A and USB-C port, allowing for easy connections to a variety of devices and peripherals, as well as charge compatible devices3.
