Asus Extreme N6800GT - 01 - Introduction

After examining an AGP version of the EN6600GT from Asus, it's time to jump back to the PCI-Express bus and take a look a card aimed at the enthusiast market, the Extreme N6800GT.

Asus Extreme N6800GT

As its name indicates, the N6800GT is based on the Nvidia 6800 GPU core, also known as NV40. The card is basically a cheaper version of the 6800 Ultra with lower clock speeds and a slimmer cooling solution. The Extreme N6800 series is not to be confused with the V9999 series from the Asus products which are built for the AGP standard bus.

- Packaging/Bundle

The packaging of the EN6800GT is a larger version of the one Asus used with the 6600 series. Inside the package you'll find a set of accessories for all your needs:
- 640x480 webcam
- TV-out adaptor
- DVI-to-2nd VGA adaptor
- 12V PCI-E power connector

Apart from these accessories, the Asus CD Suite is also included in the package.
