be quiet! annually releases incremental updates to their well known CPU coolers and this time of the year, two new air coolers are presented to the market, the Dark Rock Pro 6 and Dark Rock 6. Both are high-end air coolers feature new design, significantly "better" performance thanks to optimized heat sinks and optimized high-performance heat pipes, as well as an extended feature set for even greater ease of use and compatibility. Both coolers are built for users who demand powerful cooling performance, maximum compatibility with high-end motherboards and RAM modules, and the virtually inaudible operation that defines be quiet!’s Dark Rock series.

The Dark Rock Pro 6 offers extremely high cooling performance and virtually inaudible operation, making it an excellent choice for heavily overclocked systems and demanding workstations. Compared to its predecessor, it features an optimized heat sink, seven optimized high-performance heat pipes, two custom-designed Silent Wings fans, and an extended feature set. A hardware switch lets users toggle between performance and a semi-passive quiet mode with full fan stop for completely silent operation at up to 40% PWM signal.

The two custom-designed Silent Wings PWM fans (one 135mm, one 120mm) work in tandem to deliver perfect airflow at extremely low noise levels, while the height-adjustable front fan with rail system and heat sink cut-outs provide high RAM and VRM cooler compatibility. Installation has also been streamlined thanks to a simple mounting system for both fans and heat sink, while the top cover with brushed-finish aluminum badge, side cover, and special ceramic-particle black coating complete the signature elegant be quiet! look. Thanks to a nickel-plated base, Dark Rock Pro 6 is compatible with liquid metal thermal grease and is backed by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.

On the other hand, the Dark Rock 6 delivers powerful cooling in a compact design, offering high compatibility and virtually inaudible operation for passionate gamers and high-end system builders. As the successor to both Dark Rock Slim and Dark Rock 5, it features an all-new design, an optimized heat sink, six optimized high-performance heat pipes, and a custom-designed 135mm Silent Wings fan. Like its bigger brother, Dark Rock 6 includes a hardware switch to toggle between performance and a semi-passive quiet mode with full fan stop for completely silent operation at up to 40% PWM signal.

Dark Rock 6’s asymmetrical design and heat sink cut-outs significantly improve RAM and VRM cooler compatibility and enable installation in a wide range of systems. Like Dark Rock Pro 6, the versatile Dark Rock 6 also includes a fan mounting rail system, a special ceramic-particle black coating, as well as an elegant magnetic top cover with brushed-finish aluminum badge. A nickel-plated base ensures compatibility with liquid metal thermal grease, and Dark Rock 6 is also covered by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Both Dark Rock Pro 6 and Dark Rock 6 will be available in retail on May 19, 2026, at recommended retail prices of €109.90 / $129.90 / £79.99 for Dark Rock Pro 6 and €89.90 / $109.90 / £64.99 for Dark Rock 6.

- Features

Dark Rock Pro 6 offers extremely high cooling performance and virtually inaudible operation. Excellent for heavily overclocked systems and demanding workstations.

  • Semi-passive quiet mode with full fan stop for completely silent operation
  • Hardware switch to toggle between performance and quiet modes
  • 7 high-performance heat pipes for immensely high cooling power
  • 2 virtually inaudible Silent Wings PWM fans for perfect airflow
  • Optimized heat sink for more cooling power
  • Front fan with rail system mounting and generous heat sink cut-outs for high RAM and VRM cooler compatibility
  • Simple mounting systems for fans and heat sink

KEEP IT COOL AND QUIET

Dark Rock Pro 6 raises the bar for silent cooling. Its mode switch lets you choose either active performance mode for advanced cooling power or semi-passive quiet mode, keeping the fan off below 40% PWM. Both modes ensure quiet and reliable performance in any workload.

EXTREMELY HIGH COOLING POWER

Dark Rock Pro 6 features 7 optimized high-performance copper heat pipes, an optimized heat sink and specially refined fans. As a result, this high-end cooler keeps your CPU at peak performance at all times, even in heavily overclocked systems and demanding workstations.

CUSTOM-DESIGNED SILENT WINGS PWM FANS

The custom-designed Silent Wings 135mm PWM and 120mm PWM fans use advanced fluid-dynamic bearings, 6-pole motors and optimized blades. Thanks to tight tip clearance, they boost air pressure and improve the airflow.

EASY MOUNTING

Thanks to its convenient pre-installed mounting bridge and a firm yet gentle fixing method, cooler attachment is a breeze. The front fan uses a rail system for mounting, which makes height adjustments easier and looks cleaner. So installation is easier than ever with Dark Rock Pro 6.

ICONIC DESIGN

Dark Rock Pro 6 does not compromise when it comes to style. Custom-designed fans, side covers and a top cover that masks the heat pipe ends create the sleek, clean signature be quiet! design for Dark Rock CPU air coolers.

COMPATIBLE WITH LIQUID METAL THERMAL GREASE

Thanks to a nickel-plated base, Dark Rock Pro 6 is compatible with liquid metal thermal grease such as DC2 Pro. The properties of the liquid metal compound combined with Dark Rock Pro 6 allow high-end CPUs to perform at even higher levels.
