Epomaker Alice 66
2. Retail Package
The retail box of the EPOMAKER Alice 66 is slight different from other EPOMAKER products, with a black theme.
Everything is well protected, the main keyboard is inside a plastic protective shell, while there is foam around the keyboard for transportation protection:
Inside the retail box, you will find the main keyboard, a printed manual, a type-C connection cable (1.6M length), keycap pullers, and three replacement switches.
The Alice 66 is offered in White color with only EPOMAKER switches (Wisteria Liner or Flamingo Switch). This product is around 67% of a full-size keyboard with one body and split keyboard design and packs 66 keys in an ergonomic design.
The product has a 402 X303 X 375MM size and weight of ~0.95kg, making it small and very portable. The outer shell is ABS plastic and there is a 5-layer Sound Dampening design, that should help minimize typing sound. Users despite the small dimensions will find a 4000mAh battery that is very good. All keys have a purple color theme is very nice to view and most keycaps have a special fancy printed typeface that adds to the overall look of this keyboard.
At the bottom area, users will find two latches to raise the keyboard typing angle at two angles depending on their needs.
The default keyboard typing degree is around 6, while the keycaps also have an ergonomic design.
All keys are back-illuminated with several lighting effects:

, while can be full-key hot swapping. There is also an anti-ghosting system called N-key Rollover, while many operating systems are supported by Windows Vista /7/8/10/11, MAC, and Android. Users can also use various shortcuts to control several important functions like:

At the back of the keyboard, users will find an included 2.4G dongle that is kept in place via magnets, the Type C charging/connection port, and a small switch Win/Mac. There are no special routing canals for better organizing the TypeC cable either at the back or at the bottom of the keyboard.
As we see the split keyboard layout follows a curved design and we do like the fact that the letter B is in both areas since the muscle memory wants the B button to be pressed by both hands. The spacebar also can be found in both areas.
The product has three different connection methods USB wired (default) + 2.4G wireless + BT5.0. The plastic knob at the top right area can be used to use the selected mode, G (2.4G wireless), B1 (BT1), B2 (BT2), B3 (BT3). The knob cannot be used for controlling sound, so that's something that is missing compared with a full-size keyboard. Τhere are also Home/Del buttons and four-way arrow keys, while other keys like Print Scn, Insert/Del/PgUp/PgDown are missing due to the small product dimensions.
Toggle the switch to the 2.4G side, make sure that the keyboard is under the 2.4G wireless mode:
- Hold Fn+R for 3-5 seconds till the indicator flashes fast, the keyboard is ready to pair.
- Insert the 2.4G dongle to your computer. When the keyboard is connected, the indicator stops flashing.
Toggle the switch to the BT side, make sure that the keyboard is under the Bluetooth mode:
- Hold Fn+Q/W/E for 3-5 seconds till the indicator flashes fast, the keyboard is ready to pair.
- Turn on your Bluetooth device and find the keyboard, then connect. When the keyboard is connected to the Bluetooth device, the indicator stops flashing and the connection is done.
- Press Fn+ Q/W/E to toggle between the Bluetooth devices 1/2/3.
While the battery can be checked as follows. Hold Fn+RightShift, the keys from 1 to 0 lights up to show the battery percentage; for example, if the keys from 1 to 6 light up when holding Fn+ Backspace, it means that the battery life is currently 60%; if keys of 1-Olight up, battery life is 100%.
All keys can be removed with the included tool and serviced or changed. You can replace different switches, and customize the tactile and auditory feedback you like, and is compatible with most three/five-pin pivot base mechanical switches.
