Google's big Android event on October 29th has been camceled due to Hurricane Sandy, which is expcted to hit the U.S. East coast closely to the scheduled event. "We are canceling our Monday morning event in New York due to Hurricane Sandy. We will let you know our plans as soon as we know more," Google said in a statement.

Google has not set a new date for the event yet.

A 10.1-inch version of the Google Nexus 7 tablet is expected to have a 2,560-by-1,600-pixel resolution with a density of 299 pixels per inch. Rumors expected to be called the Nexus 4 and details for the phone were revealed on a pre-order page put online by British phone retailer Carphone Warehouse. According to the leasked specs, the Nexus 4 will have a 4.7-inch screen with a 1,280 by 768 pixel resolution and include an 8-megapixel camera. It will be powered by a 1.5-GHz Qualcomm quad-core S4 processor and Android 4.2.
