Starting from next April, Windows XP and Vista users will no longer receive updates for Google Chrome browser, Google announced today. Support for Windows XP, as well as Windows Vista, and Mac OS X 10.6, 10.7, and 10.8 will no longer be available after April 2016. Google said that those platforms are no longer actively supported by Microsoft and Apple.

After April 2016, although Chrome will continue to function on these platforms, users will no longer receive updates and security fixes.
