The successor of the LiteOn SOHW-1693S DVD Recorder has been upgraded to burn +R9 media)at 8X, while it can burn -R DL media at 4X. The new SHW-1635S features an improved writing mechanism and as you can read on our review, the media was burned at their specified speeds at adequate quality.
