Lumia 535 Is Official
Microsoft has officially unveiled the Lumia 535, a $135 smartphone for the emerging and low-cost markets. The Lumia 535 signals Microsoft’s plan for Windows Phone, focusing on the low-end of the market to drive growth. It integrates Microsoft services such as Skype and OneNote, a 5 megapixel front facing camera, and a 5 inch display (960 x 540). It also packs a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, and 1GB RAM, and 8GB of memory. If you need more, slide in a microSD card, with support up to 128 GB, or use the 15 GB free OneDrive storage offerd by Microsoft.
The smartphone comes with Windows Phone 8.1 and the Lumia Denim Update preinstalled. That means you’ll get a hugely personal experience with features including one-swipe Action Center, Word Flow, Live Folders and Cortana (where available). The Lumia 535 also supports Bluetooth LE.
It also comes in two flavors: 3G Single SIM or 3G Smart Dual SIM.
Lumia 535 3G Single SIM and Lumia 535 3G Dual SIM will be available in selected markets in November (China, Hong Kong and Bangladesh, Russia, India, Europe). Pricing for Lumia 535 and Lumia 535 Dual SIM will vary by market and operator, but is estimated to be around 110 EUR before taxes and subsidies. Microsoft didn't announce any U.S. plans.
