The upcoming 4-inch iPhone and the new iPad rumored to launch this March will be powered by the latest A9x and A9 chips, according to Bloomberg. "In March, Apple intends to announce an updated iPad and smaller-screen iPhone featuring the latest A9x and A9 chips, according to a person familiar with the plans, who wasn’t authorized to comment publicly," Bloomberg reports.
Earlier this month, 9to5Mac reported that Apple's new iPhone will be the "iPhone 5SE." The new iPhone is expected to resemble the outgoing iPhone 5S, alongside beefed up internals like NFC for Apple Pay, and Live Photos, but is not expected to have a 3D Touch display.
Bloomberg is also reporting that a new iPad - expected to be the iPad Air 3 - will come with Apple's A9X processor. The A9X procesor is also powering the Apple Pro tablet, which comes with a 12.9-inch display packed with 5.6 million pixels.
The iPad Air 3 is expected to support the Apple Pencil, and feature the Smart Connector to support keyboards and other peripherals.
