Synology unveils its first AI-powered Wi-Fi camera CC400W

Synology today announces the launch of the CC400W, the newest addition in its surveillance lineup designed to meet the dynamic needs of modern surveillance. The CC400W combines quality imaging and AI-driven security features without the need for complex wiring. Alan Lin, Product Manager of Synology Camera, states, "With its blend of easy installation, high video quality, and robust AI capabilities, the CC400W presents an exceptional solution for small businesses, SOHOs, and retailers seeking to bolster their security measures with minimal complexity."

Flexibly securing every corner
The CC400W, with its IP65 weatherproof certification, offers dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity for effortless and flexible installation. Its adaptability extends to various scenarios with easy placement options on ceilings, walls, flat surfaces, or through magnetic attachment. Additionally, the built-in two-way audio enables direct communication from any part of the premises.

Crisp day and night imaging
The CC400W offers a 2560×1440 resolution at 30 FPS. With its wide 125° FoV, HDR capabilities, and powerful 10m IR LED, it ensures effective monitoring in all lighting conditions, including high-contrast environments. Efficiency is prioritized with H.265 codecs and Smart Bitrate Control, optimizing bandwidth and storage without compromising image quality.

Intelligent surveillance and security
Equipped with powerful on-camera AI, the CC400W streamlines the entire monitoring process by providing real-time, accurate alerts to specific activities, such as People and Vehicle Detection, Intrusion Detection, Instant Search, and Auto Tracking.When paired with Synology's DVA models, users can elevating the level of security to access extended capabilities such as Face Recognition, License Plate Recognition, and People Counting for detailed analysis.

Streamlining management with intuitive integration
The CC400W seamlessly integrates with DS cam and Surveillance Station, providing easy addition and connection for convenient monitoring management. Notably, Synology cameras streamline setup without requiring Surveillance Station device licenses.

Enhancing security with privacy preservation
Synology adheres to stringent security and privacy protocols. As such, the CC400W is NDAA/TAA compliant and also supports HTTPS and SRTP for video and data encryption. Regular firmware updates ensure the camera stays up-to-date with the latest security patches. The Micro SD failover mechanism guarantees access to clear, uncorrupted footage regardless of network conditions.
