Vox to be Included in Apple's News Subscription Service: report
Apple has signed Vox to be part of an upcoming subscription service for newspaper and magazine readers, according to Bloomberg.
The explainer site is owned by Vox Media Inc., which also publishes the Verge, SBNation and Eater, though its other properties won’t be part of the service initially, said the report.
Apple is gathering contributors to the new offering, along with a video-streaming service and a credit card in partnership with Goldman Sachs Group on Monday.
The service is designed to let consumers subscribe to a bundle of newspapers and magazines for a flat monthly fee. The Wall Street Journal has agreed to join Apple’s service, according to a recent New York Times report.
Apple declined to comment.
