Nichia Corporation announced today that it settled a patent lawsuit in Japan, which it had filed against Moeller Electric Limited. In its complaint, Nichia alleged Moeller's infringement of three Japanese patents concerning blue LEDs. In the settlement discussion held outside the court, Moeller agreed to stop using the possibly infringing LEDs and buy from Nichia.
