Intel Cuts Prices of Core 2 Duo Processors
Intel has updated the price list for its processors, significantly cutting the price of its dual-core models.
Most versions of Intel's Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Quad as well as Pentium D for desktop PC are currently available for the company's OEM clients cheaper.
The Core 2 Quad Q6600 (8M L2 cache 2.40 GHz 1,066 MHz FSB 65nm) processor got a 38% price cut compared to the previous price, and it is currently available for $530. The Core 2 Duo E6700 (4M L2 cache 2.66 GHz 1,066 MHz FSB 65nm) is available for $530 (previous price $851).
Intel also reduced the prices of the Xeon series of server CPUs by 30-40% .
