London eMobility Company Swytch Launches the Swytch MAX Plus

London eMobility Company Swytch Launches the Swytch MAX Plus

Consumer Electronics May 3,2025 0

Swytch, the makers of the world’s best-selling range of electric bike conversion kits, have just launched their newest and most innovative model: the Swytch Max+ Kit. With over 100,000 customers worldwide Swytch continues to lead the way in DIY e-bike solutions. At a time when a quality branded electric bike will set you back an average of £2,500, Swytch’s latest model offers a way to build your own state-of-the art eBike for under £1,000. Available to order starting today, the Max+ further improves Swytch’s patented range of eBike kits with features including an increased range of up to 60 miles on one charge, an integrated front light, a USB charging point, and industry-leading battery safety technology.

How it Works:
The Swytch Conversion kit can upgrade almost any bike into a road-legal pedal-assist electric bike with up to 15mph top speed and 250W power. It works by replacing your regular bike wheel with a custom-built Swytch motor wheel (manufactured locally at Swytch’s factory in Norwich, UK), which is connected to an instantly removable battery that fits on the handlebars and provides 250W of pedal-assist power when you start pedalling.

Safety First:
A key selling point of the Swytch Kit is that it is thoroughly tested and certified in line with the most stringent battery safety standards (including UN and CE), and with the battery removed your bike is still a regular bike so you can still take it on all modes of transport (including the tube) and store it in all standard residences, workplaces and storage locations. CEO Oliver Montague comments “We’re investing heavily in safety and quality to mark ourselves out as the safest and most reliable option in an eBike market that’s recently been hit by a lot of adverse policy decisions such as the banning of some types of eBike on the London underground. Even though this won’t affect Swytch users who can remove their battery to restore their bike to a regular eBike before travelling, we see these policy decisions as a backwards step for the UK when we should be trying to encourage eMobility. So, in line with our company mission to make electric transport accessible to everyone we’re launching our most advanced system yet, the Swytch MAX+. “

Swytch CTO Dmitro Khroma adds: “This new upgrade to our kit is packed with advanced features including state-of-the-art battery safety technology, IPX6 certified waterproofing, a USB-C charging port so that the battery doubles as a power bank that can charge a standard smartphone about 200 times, and of course the ability to output 250W and power your cycle ride up to 60 miles.

How to buy:
The Swytch MAX+ kit is now in stock and available to purchase from £999 RRP on Swytch’s website www.swytchbike.com, and those already on Swytch’s pre-order waitlist will be invited this week to pre-order from the next batch of production for delivery this summer with a large pre-order discount. Those wanting to join the pre-order waitlist can subscribe here: http://www.swytchbike.com/getmaxplus.
