LiteOn officially announced today the SOHW-812SX, an 8x dual format DVD burner. The external drive uses the USB2.0 interface for offering fast plug-in and high transfer rates. Based on the LiteOn's IDE model (812S), the drive writes DVD-R/+R at 8x and DVD-RW/+RW at 4x. Basic specifications:
