AMD's FX-8150 Processor Sets New Record
AMD's FX-Series FX-8150 processor has touched a record-breaking speed of 8.46GHz.
AMD had been promoting Bulldozer's capabilities to overclock at up to 8.29GHz since last month. But today, an an overclocker named Andre Yang has achieved an overclock of 8.46GHz, beating AMD's record.
According to screenshot of CPU-Z utility, the overclocked FX-8150 processor runs 8461.51MHz, which is 32.13MHz faster than the previous record. The overclocker used an ASUS's Crosshair V Formula motherboard and applied a core voltage of core voltage of 1.992V, whereas AMD had a voltage of 2.016V in their setup. He also utilised a 31X multiplier and a base clock speed of 272.95MHz.
