Apple MacBook Pro to Use Intel Core 2 Duo Processors
Apple said on Tuesday its entire MacBook Pro line of notebook computers will use Intel Corp.'s Core 2 Duo processors.
Apple said the new notebooks, available in 15-inch and 17-inch models, will deliver performances up to 39 percent faster than the previous generation, and offer double the memory and bigger storage capacity.
The 15-inch MacBook Pro is shipping on Tuesday with a 2.16 GHz model retailing at $1,999 and a 2.33 GHz version retailing at $2,499. The 2.33 GHz, 17-inch MacBook Pro will start shipping next week at $2,799, Apple said. Mac Book Pro at a glance
