Apple to Offer Touchscreen PCs in Third Quarter: Report
Apple has reportedly ordered Taiwanese Wintek to deliver 10-inch touchscreens in Q3 of 2009, Reuters reported today citing sources in Taiwan.
Wintek is already making small screens for Apple iPhones, and has received orders for the larger ones that are roughly the same size as those used in mini PCs, Reuters reports.
Although the neither Apple nor Wintek confirmed the report, Apple may be considering to enter the touchscreen PC market, as lines begin to blur between advanced smartphones and traditional PCs.
Apple's iPhone has received massive success mainly due to its inovative touchscreen.
