ASUS $179 Chromebox Coming In March
ASUS unveiled today its new Chromebox packing Intel's fourth-generation Haswell processors, designed to simplify home, classroom or office computing.
The small device starts up in seconds to give users access to Google web services and Chrome Web Store apps designed for business, education and home, including popular services like YouTube, Hulu Plus and Netflix. Users are provided with 100 GB of Google Drive space, turning the ASUS Chromebox into a complete data hub for their other personal PCs, smartphones, and tablets. Users can access all of their data and files in the cloud by logging in to their Google Account on any device.
BR> The most compact Chromebox yet, the computer comes sporting either Intel's Celeron 2955U or i3-4010 processor. Another i7 version of the box will be available outside of North America.
BR> Under the hood of the 4.88 x 4.88 x 1.65-inch device, there is support for 802.11 b/g/n dual-band Wi-Fi to speed web browsing, four USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth 4.0 and an SD card reader. AThe device is compatible with a USB devices including external storage devices, keyboards, mice, webcams and USB hubs.
