ASUS MG279Q Gaming Display Supports 144Hz and FreeSync

ASUS MG279Q Gaming Display Supports 144Hz and FreeSync

PC components May 8,2015 0

Acer had previewed the MG279Q gaming monitor at CES 2015 and now the company has made the new new 27-inch WQHD (2560X1440) gaming monitor available. Here is what you you get; 144Hz, 178 degrees wide-viewing angle IPS technology, and AMD FreeSync to enjoy smooth gaming. To enjoy 144Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync Technology which eliminates screen tearing and motion blur, you will need compatible video cards such as MATRIX-R9290X-4GD5, R9290X-DC2-4GD5 and STRIX-R9285-DC2OC-2GD5.

ASUS-exclusive features include Ultra-Low Blue Light Filter to reduce blue light emissions by up to 70% for eye-protection, Flicker-Free Technology offer comfortable viewing, GamePlus hotkey with crosshair overlay and timer functions, and GameVisual Technology offers six preset display modes tailored for different game genres.

ASUS MG279Q boasts 77% more on-screen space than full-HD (1920X1080), 109PPI (pixels per inch), and 100% sRGB color gamut.

The slim profile and narrow bezels make this a great choice for multi-display setups. The height-adjustable display tilts and swivels to your liking and can be detached easily using the quick-release latch and VESA wall-mounted to create more space on your desk. You can also make use of the cable-management design to make your gaming desk clutter-free.

For connectivity, there is a DisplayPort 1.2 port, a Mini DisplayPort 1.2 port, two HDMI/MHL ports, and two USB 3.0 ports.

ASUS MG279Q will be available from beginning of May in Europe and Asia, and end of May in North America.
