Bethesda kicks off E3 with 'Doom,' Fallout 4' Annoucnements
Bethesda's E3 press event was full of details about upcoming titles such as the "Fallout" 4 and "Doom". The developer showcased scenes from a new edition of the hellish first-person shooter "Doom" and the post-apocalyptic role-playing saga "Fallout 4."
Fallout 4 will be available worldwide on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, and PC.
On November 10, Bethesda will also release the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition – a premium collector’s edition - through participating retailers across the world.
The collector's edition of the game will come with a model of a Pip-Boy. This wearable device replicates the in-game model and comes with RobCo Industries stand, custom-printed capsule, adjustable foam cuff, rotating knobs and lights. You you can slot your phone into and thus use like a real Pip-Boy. There's an accompanying app that will interact with the game.
The Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition will be available through pre-order in the coming days and retails for $119.99 (US), €129.99 (Europe), and £99.99 (UK).
Doom is built on id Tech 6, and according to demos, it takes place in some sort of Mars-based industrial station comple and another they called the "Gateway to Hell." There will also be a multiplayer option, which will support "Snapmap", allowing for in-game creation of custom maps and modes.
"Doom" is set for spring 2016.
Bethesda also unveiled the strategy card game "The Elder Scrolls: Legends," a follow-up to the stealthy title "Dishonored," as well as new content for the multiplayer battle game "Battlecry" and the online role-playing game "The Elder Scrolls Online."
Dishonored 2 is a first-person action game. Currently in development by the team at Arkane Studios, the game is slated for a Spring 2016 release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and PC.
In Dishonored 2 the fate of the Isles is left hanging in the balance when the throne is seized by an otherworldly usurper. You can reprise your role as a supernatural assassin and play as either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano - both armed with the mark of the Outsider and their own unique set of supernatural abilities, weapons and gadgets.
Bethesda also announced the iOS release of Fallout Shelter, the first mobile game set in the celebrated Fallout universe from Bethesda Game Studios Fallout Shelter is available now for FREE for iPhone and iPad.
Fallout Shelter is a post-nuclear strategy and simulation experience that puts you in control of a underground Vault.
