Broadcom Now Sammpling New Combo Chips for Wearables
Broadcom today introduced a new family of low-cost combo chips that offer performance for the wearables market and the growing entry-level smartphone market.
Broadcom's new BCM43430 chip family is compact in size, consumes low power and and supports the A4WP Rezence wireless charging.
The single-band combo chip that supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1/Bluetooth Smart, Rezence wireless charging and FM radio receiver. It integrates a power amplifier (PA) along with a low-noise amplifier (LNA) and a transmit-receive (T/R) switch for a reduced overall BOM. Otehr features include TurboQAM, low-density parity-check (LDPC) and beamforming for improved throughput and range and support for Android and Windows operating systems.
