General Interest Jul 10,2001 0

"...CenDyne today continued its practice of pushing the envelope to deliver leading-edge CD-RW products to consumers with the introduction of its new Lightning 24X10X40X CD-RW drive. The CenDyne Lightning 24X10X40X drive provides 24X CD-R write, 10X CD-RW rewrite and 40X CD-ROM read speeds and comes with music management and recording software that makes burning MP3 files fast and easy.

The Lightning 24X10X40X drive is designed for consumers that want the fastest CD write performance possible. The new drive's write speed of 3,600 KBps is so fast that it can write an entire 650MB disk in as little as four minutes. In addition, the drive provides fast CD re-writing at 1,500 KBps and reads CD-ROM media at 6,000 KBps. The new drive also provides quick access to data with a 120ms average access time. The CenDyne Lightning 24X10X40X drive was designed with technology to prevent buffer under-runs, which decreases write errors and ensures highly reliable, accurate recording.

The CenDyne Lightning CD-RW includes the award winning Nero 5.5 CD recording software and InCD. The drive also comes complete with everything necessary to begin recording data right away, including an installation kit, CD-R media and IDE and audio cables.
