DaTARIUS enters the Flat Panel Business
DaTARIUS Optical Products (DOP), part of the DaTARIUS Group, has announced that it has reached a partnership agreement with R&D Hi-Tech Corp of Taiwan for flat panel display (FPD) inspection systems.
"I look forward to co-operating with DOP on the measuring systems for FPD," says Robin Chang, Vice President of R&D Hi-Tech. "The DOP team has been involved with inspection technologies for many years. Now we are all reunited under the same flag and looking forward to fulfilling the FPD business needs."
Chang has been involved in the development of FPD systems since the early days of the industry. Previously, he represented and co-developed Steag-ETA products in Taiwan and Asia, and has now decided to continue his support to the FPD Industry with DaTARIUSs DOP division.
"The FPD industry is vibrant and growing, with a number of exciting challenges and opportunities," says Wilbert Windeln, Managing Director of DOP. "We are delighted to be working with a company like R&D Hi-Tech, with its experience and expertise in this field, and we are confident of success moving forward with our proficiency in optics and inspection systems."
DaTARIUS Optical Products and R&D Hi-Tech plan to introduce a range of solutions to the market during the upcoming Display Taiwan event 2007 in Taipei 13-16 June. These solutions include colour filter measuring device to measure colour and thickness of coating both inline and offline, and system for measuring the thickness of Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) on optical films.
