DeepCool Assassin IV CPU Cooler
3. Installation process
In order to start installing this CPU cooler, you have to remove the center 140mm fan. In order to do that you need first to remove the metal mesh that is kept via magnets, then you need to remove the 140mm fan via two clatches (pull towards inside)
Here you can see the mounting mechanism
First, you need to place the mounting mechanism for the AM5 platform. First, you secure the four mounting screws at the already existing motherboard and then you place the mounting plates facing inwards as follows. After placing the thermal past by using the included screwdriver you can secure the cpu cooler.
Here is what the CPU cooler will look like, the DeepCool Assassin IV has a reverse design, meaning the back (120mm) pre-installed fan should face at the back of the motherboard for the the correct airflow and installation.
, and at the front (above the RAM sockets ) you can install a third 120mm fan if you wish so, for this reason, DeepCool has included a free plastic 120mm frame that also can be moved up/down to combat high RAM modules. nice!
The Back 120mm fan can be moved upwards to battle high passive motherboard VRM coolers.
No problem in our case, the Asus ProArt 670E motherboard has a "normal" passive motherboard heatsink.
