DeepCool Assassin IV CPU Cooler
2. Retail Package
The retail package of the Assassin IV can be found at around 80 Euro depending on your region and local VAT and packs 6 years of warranty, on par with other cooler manufacturers. The retail package is large and has a unique design, that comes with most DeepCool products.
Opening the box is easy and everything is well protected with hard foam inserts.
There is also a separate tools box, that packs tons of add-ons.
There are many goodies included, apart from the mounting brackets for AMD/Intel sockets, users will also find, a cleaning alcohol patch for cleaning your CPU, a 1.5gr thermal paste from DeepCool (DM9 model), a printed manual, a long screwdriver and an extra 120mm plastic bracket that can be used to add a third 120mm to your Assassin IV for extra airflow!
The DeepCool Assassin IV is a big CPU cooler with great aesthetics and design. There are two fans installed, a back 120mm and the middle 140mm. The product has 144×147×164 mm dimensions and weighs around 1575gr, making it a rather big CPU cooler. But don't worry about the overall dimensions, there are several interesting design solutions to fit this CPU cooler even at weird-looking motherboards.
At the top of the CPU cooler, we will find a metal part that is kept with magnets in its place and can be removed easily.
More venting holes are present on both the left/right sides of this product.
The front of the CPU cooler has an interesting design choice, here you can add the included 120mm fan bracket to add a third CPU fan.
At the bottom of the CPU cooler, we will find seven (7) Ø6 mm and a big copper base that is being protected from a sticker.
The base seems very flat and reflective and has a big 52x42mm surface.
At the top of the CPU cooler, users can find a "switch" that puts the fans in either a FULL or QUIET mode.
There is also a working LED at the top that lights up brighter when the fans are set at FULL mode and dimmer when working at QUIET mode.
