Foxconn Confirms Underaged Working at Its Factory
Taiwanese contract manufacturer Foxconn today confirmed that underaged interns were working at its factory in Yantai, China.
Foxconn told Bloomberg in a report Tuesday it had conducted internal investigation and determined the interns, aged 14 to 16, had been working at the facility for about three weeks.
Foxconn comments come just a day after a report by China Labor Watch said that Foxconn Yantai employed interns under 16 years old. The report added that Foxconn has begun to send those underage interns back to school.
