FTC Approves McAfee Acquisition by Intel
Intel said Tuesday that US anti-trust regulators have cleared its
acquisition of computer security firm McAfee.
"The Federal Trade Commission has concluded its review of the
proposed McAfee transaction and has cleared it. We are continuing to
work with the staff at the European Commission as they continue their
review," Kevin Sellers Vice President, Investor Relations at Intel
said in a note on Intel's investor relations website.
However, the deal is still being examined in Europe.

Intel announced its plan to purchase McAfee, one of the world's largest anti-virus software companies, in August.
