Hacker Took Over Angry Birds Site

Hacker Took Over Angry Birds Site

Enterprise & IT Jan 29,2014 0

Angry Birds creator Rovio Entertainment on Wednesday said that hackers attacked its web page two days after reports that the personal data of its customers might have been accessed by spy agencies. The hackers reportedly defaced the web page briefly, and Rovio quickly corrected it. End-user data was in no risk, according to Rovio.

Reports earlier this week said that documents leaked by former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden suggested the NSA and Britain's GCHQ had been able to extract information through numerous smartphone apps, including Google Maps and the Angry Birds game franchise.

Rovio denied the claims, saying it does not "share data, collaborate or collude" with any spy agencies.
