Lenovo Unleashes Newest ThinkPad Portfolio At CES
Lenovo had some big announcements today at CES. They have officially shipped over one hundred million ThinkPad devices and have announced new members of the ThinkPad portfolio including the new and improved ThinkPad X1 Carbon and the ThinkVision X24 monitor. The third generation X1 Carbonis the lightest 14" performance ultrabook and comes with new options like a super bright FHD display (up to 2,560×1,440 WQHD,) touch display and a PCIe solid state drive for up to 80% faster storage performance than standard SSDs.
The newest X1 Carbon is also the most mobile ever, with even longer battery life and still weighing under 2.9 pounds with a durable chassis and a thickness of 0.7 inches. It boasts all day battery and it is powered by the new Windows and a 5th Generation Intel Core i "Broadwell" processor with Intel HD GT2 graphics .
Pricing starts at $1,249 with availability from January 2015.
The updated ThinkPad portfolio for 2015 (ThinkPad X, T, L and E series) highlights the following features: thin and light, with extended battery life and displays up to 3K resolution. These new ThinkPads sport a complete set of ports and connections and are featuring 5th Generation Intel Core processors.
Finally, let's move on to the ThinkVision X24 - this beautiful display is 7.5 mm thin and is guaranteed to spruce up any desk or office. It features an IPS panel with Full HD resolution and a DisplayPort or HDMI connectivity so you can connect it to your laptop or desktop.
You will be able to get your hands on the ThinkPad X1 Carbon in January from $1249 and the ThinkVision X24 will hit shelves in April for $249.
