Microsoft Hummingbird News App Uses AI to Personalize News
Microsoft has launched its AI-based news application Hummingbird for Android devices.
The app is powered by artificial intelligence and search technology to curate the news from the topics that you like and from the users’ favorite sources.
The app picks up from your news reading habit to identify the topics that you would like to read about and your most preferred sources to display news accordingly. You can log in to the app with your Microsoft account or LinkedIn account.
News articles on the app have a hamburger icon that has options to save, dislike, share and add the news article to the list of the articles you want to read later.
Hummingbird will face the compatition from Google News and Apple News that are popular in the US and other countries. The app is available in 28 languages and has been released only in the US for now through the Play Store.
