Microsoft's New Android Vision Feature Coming to Excel

Microsoft's New Android Vision Feature Coming to Excel

Enterprise & IT Mar 4,2019 0

Microsoft is mixing artificial intelligence, Office 365, and your smartphone’s camera to create spreadsheets from visual data.

Have you ever wanted to scan a receipt or table-type information, like a recipe, into Excel? With the new insert data from picture feature you can, and it's as simple as taking a picture.

The feature will allow you to take a picture of something that looks a bit like a grid or table, Microsoft’s artificial intelligence code will take the input and you’ll get a workable Excel spreadsheet of the data in the image.

The feature will be available in the subscription based Office 365 package, which is turning out to be a key driver of revenue and customer engagement.

Currently, this feature is still in beta for a limited number of Android users.
