Moto 360 Gets New Straps, Watchface Designer and Fitness Hub
Motorola's Moto 360 smartwatch is now available in more options -- a metal band, and more choices for slim bands for people who want a more minimal aesthetic. The new metal bands are durable crafted from aircraft-grade stainless steel. Starting today, Moto 360 with light and dark metal bands are available on motorola.com for $299. Coming soon, Motorola will offer Moto 360 with new slim bands, which is an option for smaller wrists. Slim bands will be available in time for the holidays in light metal ($299) and a brand new champagne gold finish ($329).
For all those already having a Moto 360, Mortorola will offer interchangeable stone, black and cognac leather bands along with light and dark metal bands. Plus, through Motorola's partnerships with brands through its M4DE program, mor choices are coming. DODOcase will offer stitched leather bands in four new colors and TYLT is working on colorful silicone bands.
On the software side of things, Motorola is bringing in some new watchfaces, watchfaces, including the ability to create on your own. The new My Design tool will let you set a background image of your preference, while letting you choose different tick marks and watch hands. These new watch face options will be available for all Moto 360 watches through an update on the Moto Connect app within the next few days.
Motorola is also bringing Moto Body. You can track your steps, distance, heart rate and calories. Based on the information collected, Moto Body will provide new goals to keep you motivated. It will be available to all Moto 360 users through the Motorola Connect app update.
