New 13.3-inch MacBok Pro Coming in Q4
Apple is expected to release a new Macbook Pro notebook in Q4, featuring a 13.3-inch Retina display.
Earlier this week Apple announced the $2,199 Macbook Pro featuring a 15.4-inch screen with 2880 by 1800 resolution.
The new Macbook Pro unit will have a 13.3" 2560 by 1600 resolution panel, DisplaySearch analysts claim citing ODM supply chain sources. Expected to be launched in launched in the fourth quarter, the new panel's production volume is expected to be roughly twice that of the 15.4" MacBook Pro. The pixel density of this display would be twice that of mainstream 13.3" notebook formats of 1280 x 800 and 1366 x 768, although in this case it appears that Apple will not be doubling the pixel density, as the existing 13.3" MacBook Pro format is 1440 x 900, the analysts added.
