New 8X External Slim DVD Dual drive by LiteOn
Lite-On IT announced today the SOSW-833SX, its new true 8X External Slim DVD Dual Drive with Double Layer technology and USB 2.0 interface.
This Dual Drive can write DVD+R and DVD-R media at 8X, rewrite DVD+RW/-RW media at 4X, read
DVD-ROM media at 8X and write DVD+R Double Layer discs at 2.4X
The device can be easly carried and used connected to your notebook/PC due to its ligh weight (362g) and its compact dimensions.
The SOSW-833SX is also a High-Speed CD-RW drive. It can write CD-R media t 24X, rewrite High-Speed CD-RW media at 24X and read CD-ROM media at 24X.
Built-in SMART-BURN technology provides buffer-under-run-free function and media compatibility for high-speed writing DVD+R / DVD-R / DVD-RW / CD-R / CD-RW media.
In addition, the SMART-X technology provides stable Audio CD / VCD / DVD playback and high performance DAE / VCD / DVD data extraction. 2MB buffer memory is available for stable DVD recording.
LiteOn has not yet announced pricing for the SOSW-833SX, but it is expected to be available in December.
