Noctua presents NF-A4x10 24V PWM 40mm fan

Noctua presents NF-A4x10 24V PWM 40mm fan

Cooling Systems Dec 12,2023 0

Noctua presented the long-awaited 24V version of its award-winning NF-A4x10 40mm fan. Bringing the NF-A4x10’s renowned quiet cooling performance to the 24V space, the fan is ideal for 24V-based 3D printers as well as various other 24V applications. Supporting speed control via PWM and topped off with the included OmniJoin™ adaptor set, NA-AC9 adaptor cable for popular 3D printers (e.g. Creality Ender 3 & CR-10, Anycubic Mega), Low-Noise Adaptor and 6-year manufacturer’s warranty, the NF-A4x10 24V PWM is a premium choice through and through.

“With the NA-VC1 voltage converter that we’ve released this June, we now have an elegant and flexible solution for running any of our 12V fans in 24V environments”, says Roland Mossig (Noctua CEO). “However, we see so much demand for 24V-based 40mm fans both from the 3D printing community and industry clients that we also want to offer our popular NF-A4x10 in a native 24V version.”

The NF-A4x10 24V PWM is a PWM-enabled 24V variant of Noctua’s award-winning, premium-quality NF-A4x10 40mm fan. As such, it is ideal for 24V-based 3D printers as well as various other 24V applications. Featuring an AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) standard frame and sophisticated aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels, the NF-A4x10 is renowned for its superior performance and outstanding quietness of operation. Smooth Commutation Drive technology and Noctua’s reference class SSO2 bearing guarantee superb running smoothness and excellent long-term stability.

Many 3D printers such as the popular Creality Ender 3 or Anycubic Mega use 24V fans. With the included NA-AC9 adaptor cable for JST XHP-2 2.5mm headers as well as the OmniJoin™ adaptor set that makes fitting custom connectors a breeze, the NF-A4x10 24V PWM is an ideal choice for cooling the hot end of 24V-based 3D printers or for additional part cooling.

Supporting PWM-based speed control, the NF-A4x10 24V PWM can be PWM-controlled from its maximum speed of 5000rpm all the way down to 1100rpm. This makes it possible to adjust the fan for near-silent operation or maximum performance using either manual speed controllers such as the NA-FC1 or automatic speed control setups.

Protected against reverse polarity, over voltage and over current (short-circuits), the fan is suitable for use in challenging electrical environments. At the same time, its ultra-low EMC emissions make it ideal for applications where electrical interference is critical. Last but not least, its locked rotor and overloading protection add extra safety in situations where the fan may be blocked mechanically.

Unlike many cheap fans, the NF-A4x10 24V PWM has been thoroughly tested for electrical safety, immunity and radiated emission. Carrying CE, TÜV, UKCA and UL certifications and meeting all applicable standards (EN 62368-1, EN 55035, EN 55032, UL-507), it is a safe, quality device through and through. Like all Noctua fans, the NF-A4x10 features an MTTF of more than 150,000 hours rating and comes with a full 6-year manufacturer's warranty.

Suggested retail price
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is EUR 15.90 / USD 14.90.
