Nvidia will present many new technologies and products at CES 2006, including Quad SLI PC, GeForce Go 7 series, OpenMax IL standard and HDMI HT PCs!
- NVidia Quad SLI Powered Dell PC
NVIDIA will display the Dell XPS 600 Renegade Quad SLI PC will be on display in the Dell booth (South Hall # 36521) and NVIDIA booth (South Hall #36200) at CES 2006, January 5-8th, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

- New OpenMAX IL
NVIDIA will present the industry's first public demonstration of the new OpenMAX IL 1.0 standard. The demonstration will show a prototype OpenMAX IL implementation executing on an NVIDIA GoForce 3D handheld graphics processing unit (GPU) to create a flexible, accelerated streaming media pipeline to input, decode, and display an MPEG-4 video stream with fully synchronized audio at full frame rate-an industry first. Through using OpenMAX IL, different codecs may be easily inserted into the pipeline, or the configuration of the processing pipeline can be easily changed with full media component and codec interoperability.
The OpenMAX(tm) IL 1.0 (Integration Layer) specification defines media component interfaces to enable the rapid integration of accelerated codecs into streaming media frameworks on embedded devices. OpenMAX IL is the first of three layers of the overall OpenMAX standard that will provide comprehensive streaming media codec and application portability by enabling accelerated multimedia components to be developed, integrated, and programmed across multiple operating systems and silicon platforms.

NVIDIA announced that the world?s first HDMI PC from Sony Corporation, the VAIO VGX-XL1 Digital Living System, is powered by the NVIDIA GeForce? 6200 graphics processing unit (GPU) featuring NVIDIA PureVideo technology.
Over the last couple of years, the High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) has emerged as the connection standard for HDTV and the consumer electronics market. HDMI is the first and only digital interface to combine uncompressed high-definition video and multi-channel audio, as well as intelligent format and command data in a single digital interface. Now, this consumer electronics standard can be utilized in PC products. The introduction of the VAIO type X Living System for the Japanese market represents the world?s first HDMI PC to support the full digital broadcast tuner specification of 1080i.
