Writing Quality Tests - 3T Jitter Tests
Here, we carried out the same tests as in the previous page, but this time we burned a variety of CD-R media with the Pioneer DVR-SK12D. Note that the recording speed for each disc is 16x.
- 3T Pit results
The drive continued its good performance and gave low 3T pit jitter values with all media.
The average 3T Pit Jitter values for all recording speeds are illustrated in the following table.
- 3T Land results
Once again the drive produced high quality results. The maximum 3T Land Jitter value was 31nsec for the Imation 52x disc.
The following table shows the average 3T Land Jitter values for all recording speeds.

- Summary
The overall jitter measurements are low and it seems that the jitter does not influence the writing quality.
On the following page we examine the C1 and C2 error rates for the same discs, to further substantiate our conclusions thus far.
